Mostly positive, good content

I got the annual subscription for my daughter a couple of months ago. The art lesson videos are really good, especially the primary school art curriculum. She's learned quite a bit from the colored pencil lessons. Delivery, well, it's a digital subscription, so access was immediate after payment, which was great. My only minor gripe was navigating the sheer number of lessons at first; it took a little while to find things even with the categories. Maybe a better search filter or 'new lessons' highlight on the main page could help. But content quality and value are definitely there.

Smooth process, good lessons

I purchased a 6-month subscription for my two children a few weeks ago. Ordering was straightforward on their website; I just picked the plan and checked out. The confirmation email arrived quickly. The videos themselves are well-produced. My kids, 7 and 9, have tried a few of the oil pastel tutorials and some marker drawing guides. They particularly liked the step-by-step instructions. We watched on an iPad, and it worked perfectly fine, no glitches. Customer support wasn't needed, so I can't comment there. Overall, a solid experience for online art lessons.

Easy to use, kids enjoy

Signed up for a 3 month subscription. Access was instant. My kids, 6 and 8, started with some drawing tutorials. They liked it. The videos are clear. No problems.

Kids love the art lessons

Got the family membership for my nieces and nephews to try out some art stuff. It was super easy to sign up online. They've been doing the painting lessons and some of the beginner drawing courses. My sister said they're always asking to do more. It's been a hit, definitely kept them busy and creative. Happy with how it turned out.

Good value membership

I was looking for some art lessons for my kids and Artventure popped up. I went for the 12 month subscription because it was a lot cheaper per month than the shorter plans. They had a decent discount running, made it feel like a smart buy. The kids have used it a fair bit already, so I think it was worth the money spent.

Are there specific art supplies I need for these lessons or can we just use whatever we have around the house? Don't want to buy a whole new kit if I don't have to.

N Neil T. 1 month ago
They usually list what you need for each lesson, but a lot of them are pretty basic. Like pencils, paper, crayons, watercolors. Nothing super fancy mostly.

Honestly, for most beginner lessons, you can get away with standard stuff. Sometimes they'll use oil pastels or markers, but you can often substitute. They're pretty good about keeping it simple.

Does anyone know if Artventure does free trials still? Want to check it out before committing to a subscription for my daughter.

A Alex Doyle 2 months ago
They definitely do! Pretty sure it's 48 hours. Just sign up on the site, I think it pops up immediately.

Yep, can confirm. Did it last month. Just make sure you cancel if you don't want to continue, otherwise it rolls over.

I'm in California, how quickly can I get access to the lessons after signing up? Also, are there any discount codes floating around for new users?

D Derek 2 months ago
It's all digital, so access is instant once you pay. No waiting for shipping or anything. For discounts, sometimes they have an annual membership deal, check their homepage.

Yeah, instant access. For codes, sometimes if you sign up for their newsletter, they'll send you something. Worth a try!

Can I use an iPad to watch these lessons? My kid usually uses it for everything and I want to make sure it'll work fine.

C Colin 2 months ago
Absolutely, works great on an iPad. That's how my kids watch all the time, never had any issues.

Yep, totally fine on iPad. Just needs an internet connection and you're good to go. The videos stream smoothly.

Hey guys, thinking about getting the annual membership for my kid. Is it worth it compared to like, Art Hub for Kids or Sparketh? Are the lessons actually good for younger ones?

J Jared 2 months ago
Yeah, I've used Art Hub before but Artventure feels more structured. My 7-year-old loves it and it keeps them engaged way longer. Plus, they add new stuff pretty often.

I think it's worth it. We did Sparketh for a bit but found Artventure's step-by-step videos clearer for primary school age. Like, the instructions are super easy to follow, even for my 5-year-old.
